Man critical after Chinderah crash

A CYCLIST is in a critical condition after being hit by a truck on the Pacific Highway at Chinderah early this morning.

The 55-year-old man was hit by the B-double truck about 500 metres south of Barneys Point Bridge while travelling north about 5.30am.

The man was taken to Tweed Hospital before being transported to Gold Coast Hospital in a critical condition.

Tweed Heads Police, the Ballina Crash Investigation Unit and an RTA unit were at the scene.
