Cutey Cleo is looking for a forever home

CLEO is an exuberant, friendly bull Arab Cross young dog who urgently needs a home.

Richmond Valley Council ranger Eddie Brown said Cleo had been at the dog pound in Casino for more than three weeks.

"She needs a forever home," Mr Brown said.

Cleo is between six and 12-months old, Mr Brown said and she was found roaming the streets.

"It is a surrender issue, the owners wouldn't take her back," Mr Brown said.

"This always happens around Christmas."

The good news for Cleo is that the Casino Dog Pound keeps unwanted pets a lot longer than recommended.

"We have a good rehousing rate," Mr Brown said.

Cleo will grow a bit bigger than shown in the photo and she is well socialised with other dogs, Mr Brown said.

The video of Cleo was posted on the Richmond River Express Examiner Facebook page and has reached 2,000 people with the hope that someone, out there will give Cleo a home.

For further information or to take Cleo home call Richmond Valley Council and ask for Latoya on 6660 0301.
