CSG - The Great Debate

From the very beginning of the CSG debate I have always maintained that I will not support CSG until it is proven safe. I have copped some flack over my stance.
I thought I was the only one who had this approach to CSG. However, to my surprise I am not alone!
It is not often that I find myself on the same side as The Greens but I came across a poster prominently displayed in The Greens campaign office during the recent Council elections that says "Stop all Coalseam Gas Mining and Exploration until it is Proven Safe"
(I do have a photo of the sign but don't appear to be able to attach it to this story - help someone).
I told The Greens candidate that, surprisingly, he and I were on the same side when it came to CSG. After I pointed out the sign to him, it was promptly removed with in 5 - 10 minutes (strange that)!
I also recently read the press quoting Gordon Fraser-Quick, who was at the Anti CSG protest outside MP Don Page's office in Ballina in late September, as saying that he would not support CSG unless it was proven safe.
I am certainly not alone after all!
