Crunch time for Rovers

PREMIERS Richmond Rovers face a must-win game in their quest to chase down runaway leader Goonellabah, when they take on old rivals Byron Bay tonight in Football FNC premier league soccer.

Rovers trail the Hornets by nine points at the half-way point of the season and may need to remain undefeated for the remaining rounds to have any chance of catching them.

Both sides are expected to field similar line-ups to the weekend, when Rovers downed Alstonville 3-1 and Byron lost 4-0 to Ballina.

While Rovers will start favourites, the Rams are always tougher on home soil and with their place in the top five under threat, they will be fired up for a big performance.

The game kicks off at 8pm.
