Sun shines on running students

IT WAS fantastic weather for more than 300 students participating in the First North Learning Group Cross Country yesterday.

Students from the Rosebank, Upper Coppers Creek, Eureka, Clunes, Bexhill and Eltham primary schools ran the track on Mr and Mrs Carroll’s property at Rosebank.

Rosebank principal Mark Scotton said special thanks went to the Carrolls for setting up the course.

The event was non-competitive for students aged five to seven years.

Upper Coopers Creek school took out the top honours with the most points on the day, followed by Rosebank and Clunes.

These schools will head to the Zone Cross Country Championships on May 28 at Angourie, near Yamba.

12-13 yrs boys: Louis James (Clunes)

12-13 yrs girls: Krista Ruehe (Rosebank)
