Bangalow Road expected to reopened after crash

UPDATE 2.40pm: PEOPLE involved in a crash that has blocked Bangalow Road between Clunes and Bexhill appear to have avoided serious injury with only one person taken to hospital.

Police have said one woman was taken to Mullumbimby hospital for assessment. However, the woman appeared to have no physical injuries from the crash.

Police said they planned to reopen the road some time ago, but it is not clear whether it has reopened.

In the meantime, there are unconfirmed reports of another crash, also on Bangalow Road.

1.30pm: BANGALOW Rd has been closed in both directions between Clunes and Bexhill after a vehicle has reportedly turned on its side and covered the entire southbound lane.

It is not clear at this stage whether anyone has been injured in the crash.

Police have diverted traffic via Eltham along Eltham Rd and Johnston Rd.
