LOVE works in mysterious ways and that's certainly true for Sarah Tootell and Paul Outerbridge of Ballina.

Sixteen years after they first walked down the aisle the couple will remarry in May.

On Sunday Sarah is heading to the Ballina Bridal Expo to get some inspiration for her big day.

The 11th annual Ballina Bridal Expo starts at the Ballina RSL from 9.30am Saturday.

A fantasy wedding will be held in the Memorial Park from 9.30am (weather permitting) and fashion parades will be held at 10.30am and 12.30pm.

More than 80 exhibitors will showcase everything from cakes, to catering, celebrants and photographers. Entry is $5.

Sarah has chosen a cream dress and this time she wants her wedding to be more like a party than a "formal" celebration.

"I think it will be a lot more fun. Music is my big thing and I enter karaoke competitions all the time so we're having karaoke," Sarah says.

"We'll still have a bridal waltz and the cutting of the cake, but it will be more about going with the flow."
