Council election voting opens

VOTING has officially begun for the NSW council elections.

Those who can't make it to a polling booth on September 8 can send in postal votes or head down to a pre-polling booth from today.

Electoral Commissioner Colin Barry said it was not too late for voters to update their details on the electoral roll.

Anyone who wants to change their address can take photo identification into their nearest RTA office.

For more information on enrolment and pre-poll voting visit www.votensw.info or phone 1300 135 736.
