Cops grill Netanyahu for 3 hours

POLICE questioned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for three hours yesterday at his official residence on suspicion of receiving gifts in breach of his public servant role. Police said "investigators questioned PM Benjamin Netanyahu under caution on suspicion of receiving benefits”. No further details were given. Mr Netanyahu has denied "baseless” reports he received gifts from two businessmen. The probe was authorised by the attorney-general after a preliminary inquiry indicated there was enough evidence for a criminal investigation.
