Cop shop may hold the keys

IF THE number of lost keys handed in to Casino Police Station is anything to go by, locksmiths in the area must be pretty busy.

Marlene Wright is the administration officer at the Casino cop shop and said anyone who had lost anything should come in and see if it had been handed in.

Apart from the large assortment of keys, she said there were several pushbikes, numerous pieces of jewellery and other assorted items waiting to be claimed.

She said if you did lose something, the best thing to do was to call the Police Assistance Line on 131 444 and make a record of it. If the item turned up, police would then have a description with contact details to return it.

Alternatively, you could go in to the station and describe what you have lost and they can see if it's in the lost property collection.

And if you have lost your keys, just walk in to the station and Marlene will assist you in searching through the extensive collection of keys she has built up.
