Convicted robber arrested again after escaping jail

A CONVICTED robber who escaped a NSW jail last weekend has been arrested in Sydney.

Ryan O'Hara allegedly fled the kitchen of the Parklea Correctional Centre on the morning of August 24.

The 29-year-old allegedly led police on a car chase through Penrith late Thursday night and got away briefly before he was discovered hiding under a truck.

He was treated for a broken arm before he fronted court on Friday and was returned to prison.

O'Hara was the third NSW prison escapee to be recaptured in a week.

On Wednesday afternoon, police arrested a man who had allegedly fled the Cessnock jail earlier that morning.

The day before, Glen Innes escapee Ashley Cullen was allegedly found hiding out at Blayney.

The 21-year-old, from the NSW Mid North Coast, had allegedly been on the run for more than four months.
