Construction on roundabout begins in Lismore early April

PARTS of Magellan and Diadem streets will be closed for about 10 weeks while a roundabout is installed near Lismore Shopping Square.

Funded under the federal Black Spot program, the roundabout is expected to break up traffic flow, reduce speed and improve traffic and pedestrian safety.

Construction will begin in early April.

The project has been broken up into three stages:

  • Stage 1: Western side of the intersection, closed early to late April
  • Stage 2: Eastern side of the intersection, closed late April to late May
  • Stage 3: Whole intersection closed, late May to mid-June.
