Congestion on Pacific Hwy due to spill

TRAFFIC is backed up on the Pacific Highway outside Bangalow due to a fuel leak.

The spill was reported at 3.47pm at the north entrance to Bangalow, on the Pacific Highway.

It's understood a fuel tank on a truck was pierced, causing 40 litres of fuel to spill onto the highway.

Firefighters are working to decant the fuel into a hazmat truck and Roads and Maritime Services workers are controlling traffic around the scene.
