Cold case murder: Charges over death of Leeann Lapham
AN INNISFAIL man has been charged with the murder of missing woman Leann Maxine Lapham.
The charges come almost three months after investigators reopened the baffling cold case in November, due to a tip-off from the public.
Leeann Lapham, 30, disappeared in April 2010, leaving behind son Bradley who was just three weeks old at the time.
She was last seen leaving room 17 of Innisfail's Riverside Motel.
The 46-year-old man has been charged with murder and interfering with a corpse
He will appear in Innisfail Magistrates Court on Thursday at 1pm.
The investigation is ongoing and far north Queensland Detective Inspector Geoff Marsh continues the appeal for information about the whereabouts of Ms Lapham's remains.
