Clunes in Christmas harmony

WITH Santa’s arrival only a few sleeps away, Ayla Eden, Ned Smith and Sam Smith swung into the Christmas spirit early at the ClunesCarols last night.

Ayla’s mum, Angela Stone, said her daughter sang Christmas carols ‘all the time’, with her favourite being her own compilation called Baby Jesus.

“She sings her own words,” Ms Stone laughed.

Ayla, 4, was also being very good so Santa would make a visit.

“She’s looking forward to Santa coming, and she says he knows what she’s thinking so she does her best to be good,” Ms Stone said.

Sam, 9, and Ned, 6, dressed in their Christmas best, and accompanied by their parents, said they came up with their costumes all by themselves.

“We come to the carolsevery year, and the boys are excited about the night,” their father said.

“My wife Virginia is also singing a couple of songs.

“We’re here just to enjoy the whole thing.”
