Clown to headline fundraiser
ORGANISERS have announced that funny-man Mr Bumsqueak the Clown will headline entertainment for the kids at a family-day fundraiser for Kayla Clapham on April 21.
Diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer known as acute myeloid leukaemia, Kayla is preparing to undergo chemotherapy at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
In the meantime, good friends Juanita Mohammed and Danielle Ritchie have organised a family fun day to raise funds to help Kayla and her family take a well-earned holiday after her treatment.
Along with Mr Bumsqueak, attractions of the event include candle making, a jumping castle, face painting, sponge throwing and cake and market stalls.
Family-friendly events will be held next to the Woodburn Bowling Club from 9am to 3pm.
Live music, raffles, pub games and a fundraising auction will he held at the Rod and Reel Hotel/Motel from 6pm.
The event is being run by the Mid Richmond Lions Club.
