Claire and friends in quest for selection

CLAIRE Farrington is one of three talented players from the region aiming to secure a berth alongside the cream of the country's promising female football talent.

The Modanville player and colleagues Savannah Boller and Anna Margraf have been selected for the Northern New South Wales train-on squads for the Westfield National Youth Championships.

Impressive performances at the training sessions could earn the trio spots at July's national event in Coffs Harbour.

Claire's proud dad Paul said the family was delighted with her achievements so far.

"This is fantastic news," he said. "She deserves it."
