Christmas showers, thunderstorms for Northern Rivers?

THE Northern Rivers could be in for a slightly wet Christmas Day, if the weather forecaste is anything to go by.

According to Weather Zone, the region holds a forecast of "possible showers" on Christmas Day this Sunday.

In addition, Casino is also forecast for thunderstorms on Christmas Day.

It will be a warm December 25 for residents of the Northern Rivers, with temperatures set to stay between 15 and 31 degrees Celsius.

So even though it will be hot (and possibly sunny for at least some of the day), don't forget your umbrella if you're heading out for Christmas celebrations - can't have those carefully wrapped presents getting wet!

Lismore: Possible shower, 15-29 degrees.

Ballina: Possible shower, 17-27 degrees.

Byron Bay: Possible shower, 20-26 degrees.

Casino: Thunderstorms, 15-31 degrees.
