Child, 10, bitten by eastern brown snake near Kyogle

UPDATE, Thursday, 2pm: Police have confirmed the child who was reportedly bitten by a brown snake yesterday, was given the all-clear by staff at Lismore Base Hospital yesterday afternoon and is now safe at home in Kyogle.

 

WEDNESDAY, 5.30pm: A 10-year-old child in Kyogle went missing and was later found after he had been bitten by an Eastern brown snake, police have reported.

Officers are understood to be at the scene, but a spokesman for Ambulance Media NSW said no ambulance had been sent.

Officers from Kyogle station have been called for comment.
