Charity shop thieves scared off by alarm

THIEVES broke into the Salvation Army premises at Goonellabah on Monday night, but fled empty-handed.

Lismore police Inspector Matt Kehoe said that when officers arrived at the scene in Cambridge Dr they found access had been gained through a skylight but when an alarm sounded the offenders had fled.
