Charitable deeds repaid to family

ONE local woman who has been supporting local charities for years has seen good karma come her way at a time when she most needed it.

Faye Robinson has been supporting Our Kids for a decade, and has been at every Our Kids Melbourne Cup Luncheon since they started 10 years ago.

She's also been involved in support for the Westpac Helicopter over the years, as her father was one of the committee members who set it up.

So when Mrs Robinson's three-year-old granddaughter, Allie, was diagnosed with leukemia recently, she saw first-hand the fantastic work these charities that she supports do for kids in the region.

Allie was airlifted to Brisbane via the Westpac Helicopter for some treatments, before coming back to spend time in the Lismore Base Hospital children's ward, where she benefits from the work of Our Kids.

"We are truly blessed to have both these important services in Lismore," Mrs Robinson said
