Celebrate music and dance at the 103rd Lismore Eisteddfod
ENTRIES for the 103rd Eisteddfod, run by the Lismore Musical Festival Society, are now open.
With entries closing on May 31, organiser Val Axtens said there was no time to waste.
"An Eisteddfod is a learning opportunity, the gaining of stage experience on the road to excellence in a chosen form of the performing arts," she said.
"The participants benefit via competition; not only are their artistic skills improved, but also the confidence, poise, commitment and self esteem skills which they will later take into the community and their future careers."
Vocal, woodwind, string and brass sections will be held from August 29 to September 2 at the Lismore Workers Club auditorium.
All dance sections will be held at the auditorium from September 3-15.
Piano sections will be held in the concert room at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium on September 4-6.
Primary and infants schools will have their events at the Lismore Workers Club auditorium from August 11-14.
Schedules and entry forms are available by emailing email@example.com.
