IT TAKES just 90 minutes to prepare two weeks' worth of healthy snacks for your baby.
And Cassandra Fenaughty, of Easy Grub Healthy Bub, wants to show other parents how easy it can be.
Ms Fenaughty, of Image Flat, has been experimenting with recipes since her 16-month-old daughter Lucinda started eating solids.
"I wanted her to have the best start to life as she could," she said.
"When I started with pureed food, I made sure everything was fresh and tried to work out what had the best nutritional value."
Ms Fenaughty said while there was a lot of baby food claiming to be healthy and organic, nothing beat freshly made food.
When she started making snacks for Lucinda, those in her mother's group were clawing for her recipes.
This gave her the idea to write a cookbook and now she has started running cooking demonstrations.
The cookbook is still being written, but Ms Fenaughty hopes to have it published in about a year.
She said preparing your own food was not only healthier but also cheaper.
She said it cost $667.95 to feed a child three homemade snacks a day for three years, compared to $1773.90 for store-bought snacks.
A cooking demonstration will be held at Goodstart Learning Centre at City View Tce, Nambour, next Tuesday from 7pm.
