THE revitalisation of Casino's CBD was officially opened today despite the project not being finished.

The $2 million revitalisation project was opened on Walker Street by Federal Member for Page Janelle Saffin.

Ms Saffin praised the patience of local shop owners who have dealt with the drawn out construction.

The minister assisting the Minister for Climate Change and Efficiency Greg Combet represented the Federal Government who provided $5 million to Richmond Valley Council for the CBD upgrade and the new Casino Community and Cultural Centre.

CBD works are still underway in Barker Street.
