The shot took out 38% of the vote to edge out some other great entries, including a low tide beach photo by Chris Hosie, some lightning captured by Jason Paterson, a fiery sunset by Karen Leanne, and others from Terry Stormon, Raymond Eason, Penny Kempler, Karin Taylor and Diane Lymbury. 
Photo of the Day is intended to celebrate the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of the region's photographers.
