Caravans, camping gear and more: Ultimate guide to 4WD Show

JUANITA Allen thinks she has found what she needs for her next camping trip, although a speed boat makes an attractive purchase as well.

The Allens love camping and they come to the Lismore 4WD Caravan Camping and Marine Show every year.

This year they are looking to upgrade all of their camping equipment.

Ms Allen said they were looking for something that was easy to set up, would fit the whole family, and would suit all different types of camping locations.

"My husband would love to be here, but he has to work today," she said.

"I'm collecting all the information and then we will make a decision."

Kameka Allen, 7, she said enjoyed the show because she could see which video games could be put in the vans or cars.

The event is a major fundraiser for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter, and is open to the public all weekend at the Lismore Showground.

Held over three days (Friday to Sunday), with more than 200 exhibitors, the show is the biggest of its kind in regional NSW.

Catering specifically for outdoor enthusiasts, the event provides everything you could possibly need for your adventures.

Featuring 4WDs, caravans, camper trailers and vans, RV vehicles, camping equipment, boats, bicycles, holiday destinations and outdoor living products; the show can set you up for some high octane fun such as jet skiing or remote wilderness camping, or simply provide you with something fun to do over the weekend.

With plenty of entertainment for the whole family, including three jumping castles, the NBN Big Dog, a helicopter winch rescue display and camp oven cooking demonstrations by the Cast Iron Boys it's an enjoyable day out for all.

There is a lucky door prize of a boat and trailer package donated by Lismore Outboard as well as a boat, trailer and motor raffle valued at $12,000 donated by Disco Marine.
