Car rolls onto roof and down embankment near Nimbin

A WOMAN was lucky to survive a crash after she lost control of her car, which then rolled onto its roof and down an embankment on Nimbin Rd this morning.

Richmond Local Area Command Chief Inspector Nicole Bruce said the single female occupant was taken to Lismore Base Hospital via road ambulance for minor injuries after the crash which occurred about 7am.

Chief Insp Bruce said the woman was "very lucky" to walk away after the car rolled onto its roof and down an embankment.

"She came around the corner in wet conditions and lost control," she said.

"It was very lucky there wasn't another car involved.

"That road is particularly notorious for bad corners and in the rain we urge people to slow down and that applies to all roads."
