Forklift driver hit by car driven by woman, 83

A FORKLIFT driver has been hurt after he was hit by a car driven by an 83-year-old woman outside the Queenslander Hotel in Bundaberg.

The bronze Hyundai Elantra being driven by the elderly woman and the male driver of a forklift collided just after 7am today.

Fire crews, ambulance and police attended the scene where Bundaberg Police Inspector Kev Gutteridge said it appeared the man had been driving his forklift along Targo St when he was struck by the car.

The man was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The 83-year-old woman was picked up by her neighbour and taken home.
