Cannabis and cross bow seized in Bonalbo raid

A 55-yr-old Bonalbo man has been charged for several serious drug offences.

Yesterday morning Casino Detectives with assistance from Richmond LAC Detectives, TAG, Tabulam Police and the trail bike unit executed a search warrant at two adjoining properties on Station Road, Bonalbo.

During the search Police located and seized 26.3kg of cannabis head and leaf, 2.6 grams of cannabis resin and 90 grams of cannabis seed.

Other items seized were shotgun cartridges and a cross bow.

Another 432 cannabis plants between 10cm and 15cm tall were seized from the front yard.

The Bonalbo man assisted police with other enquires into the supply of 8 ounces of hashish which was recovered and seized from a search warrant early May, 2015, police said.

The man was arrested yesterday and charged with Possess Prohibited Drug, Supply, Cultivate (greater than commercial quantity), also various firearms and weapons offences.

He was refused bail to appear at Lismore Local Court today.
