THE Palmer United Party candidate for the federal electorate of Page, Stephen Janes, launched his election campaign in Ballina on Saturday.

The launch was held at That New Coffee Shop.

As of this week the Palmer United Party has 150 candidates standing at the upcoming Federal Election, one for every electorate as well as Senate teams in every state and territory.

"It is unfortunate that we are not getting equal coverage with the other major parties," said Mr Janes.

"It's a bit like going to the form guide on Melbourne Cup day and only finding a write up about the two favourites.

"It is also disappointing that Clive Palmer, has not been invited to participate in the televised debates with Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd and Opposition Leader, Tony Abbott.

"The Australian people deserve to know what Palmer United has to offer them and the policies that set us apart."
