Call for small businesses to do it digital in 2016

THERE'S a lot of potential in going digital and the Minister for Small Business John Barilaro is encouraging just that for your 2016 business strategy.

Mr Barilaro said according to a recent PricewaterhouseCoopers report, NSW stood to gain a $16 billion boost over the next 10 years if small business and industry took better advantage of internet and mobile technologies.

"Small businesses, particularly those in regional areas can find new opportunities to start up, scale up and innovate if they make the digital economy work for them," Mr Barilaro said.

"The NSW Liberals and Nationals have already committed $24 million to fix 795 mobile phone black spots across regional NSW, in partnership with the Federal Government and carriers.

Mr Barilaro said Small Biz Connect advisors were available to help businesses prepare for the future and get up to scratch with digital demands.

"Our focus is on delivering the support services to make NSW the easiest state to do business in."
