Coffee Shots cafe gets into Origin spirit

THIS week workplaces around New South Wales and Queensland will be divided by a staunch rivalry, and local cafe Coffee Shots is no exception.

There are four NSW and two Queensland supporters working at Coffee Shots but every year for the past five years the cafe has celebrated the State of Origin series.

Coffee Shots owner Mary Bryant said staff and customers got a kick out of the playful banter and change of uniform.

"You wouldn't believe it but a lot of people who live in Lismore go for Queensland," Mrs Bryant said. "The customers know us and love to have a joke with us.

"I think NSW will win the first game even though the series usually goes to a decider.

"My favourite player is Jarryd Hayne but he is no longer playing, but hopefully his replacement will do the job."
