Byron pool party celebrating boys’ walk for Timor

THE Schoolies Hub in Byron Bay will be selling 150 tickets to the Welcome Pool Party and Fishheads Seafood BBQ on Saturday.

The pool party and barbecue are in honour of Adam Hegedus and Alexi Piovano, who are walking 758km from Bondi in Sydney to Byron Bay, in aid of Schoolies for Schooling.

The Schoolies for Schooling initiative all started after the boys visited Timor-Leste as part of a school immersion group.

"We have been walking for just over half a month now, but we can certainly say it has been an experience and a half," the boys said.

"So far we have raised $13,670.

"If you haven't already, please get behind us to empower those most in need."

Waverley College Old Boys got a chant going in support and dropped off some food and supplies as the boys arrived in Grafton.

The Byron celebration will kick off at 6pm and include food, drink and prizes.
