Byron boasts a beauty boom

BYRON BAY just got even more beautiful, with two gorgeous Aussie models hitting the region for a holiday.

Spies have told The Northern Star that "The Body", Elle Macpherson, has been seen wandering the streets of Byron in recent days.

Elle and her sister, Mimi, are regular visitors and Elle often calls up renowned local surfer, Rusty Miller, for some private surfing lessons.

Let's hope the big swell doesn't stop her from hitting the beaches.

Another big name in modelling, Jennifer Hawkins, will be at Byron Bay to celebrate New Year's Eve.

But she won't be found in any of the local nightclubs - Jen is renting a private mansion to party on in style with her fiance Jake Wall and their friends.

It's been reported that it is becoming a tradition for the couple to ring in the new year on the North Coast.

They throw an "infamous" fancy dress party and Hawkins this week told media she was "thinking Stevie Nicks this year".

Just down the coast at Coffs Harbour, supermodel Miranda Kerr and her famous actor husband Orlando Bloom are kicking back with their baby son Flynn.

The North Coast has long been popular with the rich and famous.

Last year we spotted Hawaiian-born singer/songwriter Jack Johnson, Hollywood hottie Simon Baker, Australian actress Claudia Karvan and Governor-General Quentin Bryce.
