Byron set for Schoolies invasion

THE Schoolies Hub goes up at Main Beach Byron Bay tomorrow in preparation for the estimated 8000 to 10,000 school leavers who will be arriving in town during the next few weeks to celebrate the end of Year 12.

Visitors will have access to the hub 24 hours a day for 18 days from tomorrow until December 5.

More than 100 dedicated local volunteers will run the hub in four-hourly shifts.

Schoolies will be able to access water, first aid, tourist information and more.

"All in all there will be around 300 volunteers between the locals and the Red Frogs assisting the Byron Schoolies Safety Response," Hub co-ordinator Nicqui Yazdi said.

The Holiday Letting Organisation of Byron has a 24-hour Noisy Neighbour Hotline to assist the community with unacceptable behaviour.
