Byron Bay Cookie Company sold to pasta group

THE troubled Byron Bay Cookie Company has been sold.

Receiver and Manager of Byron Bay Cookie Company Pty Ltd, PwC Partner Derrick Vickers, today announced the business is being sold to the Rinoldi Group.

The sale, which is expected to be completed on 22 July, 2013, includes all trademarks and the properties the Company trades from in Byron Bay.

In a statement issued about the sale, Mr Vickers said creditors of the Byron Bay Cookie Company Pty Ltd should continue to deal with the Liquidator regarding outstanding claims.

Rinoldi Pasta Pty Ltd is one of Australia's oldest and leading manufacturers of Pasta products. Originally founded as a pasta manufacturer in 1878, the company has continued to grow into export markets, and also produces a range of snack foods.
