Byron Bay business takes a win at HVTC Awards

SIMMO'S Automotive Group was awarded Small Host Employer of the Year at the recent HVTC Excellence Awards.

On hand to accept the award was Original Founder Warren Simmons and General Manager Andrew Simmons.

Warren Simmons believes training apprentices to appropriate levels is the only way of ensuring the survival of the auto industry.

He says Simmo's recognises its staff is its greatest asset and therefore places emphasis on identifying, training, evaluating and improving each member.

HVTC CEO Sharon Smith said they valued the company's dedication to skills training and providing employment for the regions young people. Simmo's offer opportunities in mechanical, panel, retail and administration, which is admirable for a small business.
