Bypass changes traffic conditions

THE Roads and Traffic Authority has advised motorists of changed traffic conditions on the Pacific Highway between the Teven Road and the Bruxner Highway intersections as part of the Ballina bypass project.

Between 10pm tonight and 6am tomorrow, Pacific Highway traffic will be temporarily moved onto a new section of road to the west of the existing Pacific Highway between the Bruxner Highway and Teven Road intersections.

The traffic change will occur during the early hours of the morning to minimise impacts to motorists during peak traffic periods.

The RTA said the traffic change would allow the new permanent southbound carriageway of the Ballina bypass to be built.

Access to private properties would be maintained during the work.

Motorists were advised to allow extra travel time, and obey all signs.
