Buzzards have edge

SOFTBALL: Goonellabah CCs and Workers Buzzards will meet for the first time this season tonight in a top-of-the-table clash in Far North Coast open mixed softball.

The game starts at 8pm.

Buzzards are the more-fancied side with seasoned softballers and baseballers.

Although missing Chris Daley, big Jason Rucker will have his side hyped up for this important clash.

Byron Bay Dirtysox and Goonellabah Meteors should play a close game with Meteors desperate to hold on to third spot.

Casino Coyotes and Casino Misfits look evenly matched, with Misfits’ David Lovett in great form from the mound.

The Dodgers Coolshots against Workers Nightingales match will be a family affair with the Gibbs and Wallaces combining for the Coolshots and the Knights lining up for Nightingales.

Under-15s, T-ball and Modball will start at 5pm, with the Under-18s and the Under-13s at 6.30pm.

There will be no games for senior women tomorrow due to the Under-23 baseball State tournament and Northern Country divisional softball championships.
