Buskers rejoice: 2015 Bluesfest Busking Comp to kick off

BUSKERS will be taking to the stage in the coming weeks for the final chance to be part of this year's Bluesfest with the 2015 Bluesfest Busking Comp.

It's a fantastic way to ease into the Bluesfest buzz in Byron and see some outstanding performances from artists travelling from across the country to showcase their talents.

The heats for the Grommet event are being held Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29 at the Byron Youth Centre from 11am each day.

It is sure to be a fun filled weekend packed full of surprises and is the perfect opportunity to get out and about and see some awe inspiring free live entertainment.

Following the Grommet Heats the Open event will take place at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay on Monday March 30 and Tuesday March 31 March from 3pm each day.

There will be up to 40 performances over two nights at the Beach Hotel - it's like a mini festival in itself, so don't miss the opportunity to see some truly talented folk take to the stage.

The Grand finale will be held at the Beach Hotel on Good Friday April 3 from 12pm where three Grommets and six selected from the Open event will fire up the stage for one last shot at the winning place.

This brings with it many prizes such as Bluesfest performances and recording packages.
