Businesses join in the Beef Week fun all around the world

SHOP windows in Casino have been transformed to look like they are shop fronts in Paris, Ireland and even the North Pole.

With the theme of Around The World, judges Jack Londy, Frank Karam And Nella Pinkerton have the difficult task of picking a winner.

“We are looking for originality, the theme and staff dress-ups,” Mr Karam said.

The three judges have more than 100 years of business ownership between them.

Mr Londy said the Dress Up Competition had been running for 30 years.

“We’ve been asked by the president of the Chamber of Commerce to be judges because of our continued business association with the town,” he said.

Ms Pinkerton said the decoration of the shop windows had to have some meaning to be a winner.

Cottage Collectables shop owner Lisa Burton decorated her shop window as a snowy North Pole.

“I wanted to do something different,” Ms Burton said.

“I love the community spirit here,” she said.

The winner will be announced on Thursday.
