Business adds to worthy cause

THE cheques keep rolling in for Windara with another presented, this time by the winners of the Beef Week Best Dressed Window competition – Greater Building Society in Walker Street.

New branch manager Vanessa Restall said she knew the $1000 cheque was going to a worthy cause.

“When I started here the girls were aware of the Windara appeal,” she said.

“They asked if we could do something about it so I approached head office.”

Windara manager Gail Sullivan was only too happy to accept the cheque in the Italian surroundings of the branch that caught the eye of the Beef Week judges last week.

The total for Windara as of last week stood at $85,300.
