Three day softball championships comp wraps up at Lismore

COMPETITION concluded at the NSW Primary School Sports Association Boys' Softball Championships at Albert Park, Lismore yesterday.

Twelve teams with 150 boys from across New South Wales competed in the three-day competition.

North Coast had a successful day on Wednesday winning both its games after the competition was split up into different pools.

They beat South Coast 11-8 in the morning before backing it up with a 10-5 win against Western in the afternoon.

It was a solid turnaround for the boys who were beaten 14-3 by the Polding side first up on Tuesday.

They were later beaten 17-6 by Sydney East.

A highlight was the special vintage match on Wednesday celebrating 125 years of school sport in NSW.

North Coast finished its campaign yesterday with losses against Polding and Sydney North.

The PSSA State team that is selected from the carnival will play at the national championships at Toowoomba in November.
