Bulldogs veteran commits to another season

DALE Morris has bucked the retirement trend and has committed to running out for a 13th season with the Western Bulldogs.

The soon-to-be 35-year-old defender has played 241 games after debuting in 2005.

"He's been a stalwart at our footy club for many, many years, and with his experience, toughness and work ethic, he's the ideal player to have around our young group as they continue to grow and mature," Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney said.

"Dale's versatility down back is invaluable and we know he gives his all every time he pulls on the jumper."

Forward Jack Redpath and utility Lukas Webb have also re-signed to the Bulldogs with new two-year contracts to stay at Whitten Oval.

Redpath kicked 15 goals in nine games in an injury-plagued 2017 season, while Webb played five games during the club's poor premiership defence.
