Brown could wrap up championship

FORMER NSW speedcar champion Mark Brown will attempt to win his fourth round of the Speedcar Super Series this season when the national tournament stops off at Lismore Speedway this Saturday night.

Brown, the defending Speedcar Super Series title holder, can virtually wrap up the championship with another main event victory.

He is enjoying another great summer campaign and has been the dominant driver in the series heading into the penultimate round this weekend at Lismore.

After Lismore the series heads to Adelaide's Speedway City venue for the grand final.

Brown holds a commanding lead in the point standings.

He has accumulated 4192 points, while next in the standings are fellow Sydney drivers Mark Cooper (2239) and Troy Jenkins (2049).

Leading up to his Lismore appearance Brown has won rounds of the Speedcar Super Series at Brisbane International Speedway, Toowoomba's Charlton Raceway and Geelong's Avalon Raceway.

However, his task will not be easy as he will face a strong New South Wales line-up as well as drivers from Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

WA's Dene McAllan, who has been on the podium several times in the 2008-09 tournament, has entered, along with South Australian stars Ben Dillon and John McKay.

A spectacular bash and crash demolition derby, AMCA Nationals, street stocks and four-cylinder sedans are also on the Lismore program this Saturday night.
