Car rolls, smashes into power pole

Three people have been rushed to hospital after a car slammed into a power pole on Benson Rd, Alligator Creek.

According to police one of the people was trapped in the car, it's believed that was the driver.

 

Police have said the car rolled before hitting the power pole.

Three fire crews got the call at 8:10pm, and took one hour and 15 minutes to cut the driver out of the car.

 

The road is closed, and forensics are on the scene.

The car appears to be badly damaged.

Earlier about 8pm paramedics transported a woman in her 50s to Mackay Base Hospital after a single-vehicle crash into a parked car on Phillip St.
