ORIGINAL STORY, Friday, 3pm: FIREFIGHTERS are rushing to the scene of a reported car fire on the Pacific Highway somewhere between Ross Lane at Tintenbar and Newrybar.

RFS North Coast inspector Bob Wilcox said two crews were en route to a car fire south of the Ewingsdale tunnel which had reportedly caused grass in the area to catch alight.
