Branch shoots for new members

SPORTING Shooters Association Northern Rivers branch will hold an open day at its Casino range on Sunday, May 23.

Anyone interested in shooting who missed out on the open day in March will be welcome on Sunday week from 9am to 2pm.

Those who attend will be able to try a variety of firearms and disciplines.

There will be rimfire rifle (10 shots), rimfire pistol (10 shots), Western action rimfire pistol and lever action rifle (5+5 shots), military rifle (five shots) and muzzle-loading black powder (two shots).

The cost is $15 for adults with juniors aged 12 to 17 free.

Ear protection will be provided and covered footwear should be worn.

Photo identification is required with juniors needing their parent or guardian’s permission to shoot.
