Brady kids' dad on bail again after court appearance

THE father of two boys who spent about a week hiding in bushland around Byron Bay has been released on bail after facing Tweed Heads Local Court.

Daniel Todd Brady was taken into custody on Monday last week, accused of breaching bail conditions.

Brady had been on bail for breaching an apprehended violence order by taking the 11 and 14-year-old boys - with their consent - from their mother's home at Tweed Heads on September 14.

A condition of that bail had been that he stay at his bailing address and not breach his apprehended violence order again. He was picked up by police at Suffolk Park on September 22 and charged with breaching one or both of those bail conditions.

He remained in custody until Tuesday, September 30 when he faced Tweed court and was again granted bail on the condition he continue to live at his home at Main Arm and report to Byron Bay police twice a week.
