Cricket trip of a lifetime

TWO Lismore boys will join young cricketers from throughout Australia tomorrow on the trip of a lifetime to the United Kingdom.

Jake Hellyar and Kale Hare, both 15, will be part of a Wanderers Under-17 tour.

Their trip will include eight games against representative and school teams before returning on July 12.

All games will be in and around London, except for the first one, which is in Wales.

Their trip will also include a training session at Lord’s, sightseeing in London and then time in France where they will see the battle fields of Villers Bretonneux, a village Australian soldiers in World War I fought to save in 1918.

Paris will be the last stop before heading home.

Both boys play locally for the Goonellabah Workers Sports Cricket Club and Lismore District. Jake has also represented the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Under-15s.
